Located at the heart of Bozcaada's center, Bakkal mixies the best bio products from Bozcaada area.

Owner, Burak Akkok moved from İstanbul in 2009 to the island. He used to manage some well-known places like Nyx, Nyx 29, Christie, 147, D'eouf, Margaux, Ansen Suit at İstanbul. Now he's been living in Bozcaada all year and enjoy the simple life !

Making people feel at home and important has ultimate goal at Bakkal ! They believe when people really feel welcome, will they be able to relax and enjoy the food.

Bakkal believes, the person using the recipe must love food, love cooking, and love the people he's cooking for. And that care and love, which are absolutely essential to the making of any succesful dish, cannot be prescribed in a recipe !

In Bakkal they have two main kinds of food, pasta and risotto. They are using the best pasta and risotto imported from Italy ! Sandwiches are served in Bakkal from the beginning. The secret of the Bakkal's sandwiches is that everything be absolutely fresh.
